The present volume serves as a handbook on the rights of the child. It adopts a comparative approach to the study of children’s rights from the perspective of Islamic Law and International instruments, including Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
Having taken into account the most recent classification of children’s rights, the five chapters of the book are concerned with:
“Guiding Principles and the Fundamental Rights of the Child”, “Children’s Right to Life and growth”, “Children’s Right to Participation”, “Children’s Right to Protection” and “Duties and Responsibilities Regarding Children’s Rights”. The papers in this volume have been contributed by 13 University and Hawzah (Islamic Seminary) professors and scholars.
